Spanish chess tournament

The Riverside Youth Chess Association presents the 2013 Poly Gambit Chess Tournament at 8:15 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, at Poly High School, 800 Science Wing, 5450 Victoria Ave., Riverside.

The tournament is open to students in kindergarten through 12th grade.

Students will play in three divisions: elementary, middle school, and high school. Trophies will be awarded for best scores in each division.

The registration fee for those who register by Tuesday, Jan. 22, is $10. Those who register at the tournament will pay $20.

Snacks and lunch will be sold by the Poly Chess Club.

Players must be members of the United States Chess Federation and may join the federation at the tournament.
